Huayra Causay means “winds of life” in Quechua (Ecuador’s indigenous language).

Huayra Causay are pathfinders, dreamers and innovators who believe it is necessary to change our way of living in order to redress the balance between nature and humankind; a balance that is systematically under attack.

Huayra Causay contributes to this redress through promoting and supporting alternative approaches to agriculture; it is helping to blow life back into the soil and people of Ecuador.

Huayra Causay has projects throughout Ecuador which promote, educate and implement clean and healthy agriculture, and through this help improve the living conditions of the communities where they work. Through the volunteer program there is an exchange of important information and ideas, and implementation of educational workshops regarding food sovereignty, nutrition, education and interaction with the environment.
